The Software Test Analyst II will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Capitec's insurance systems by designing, executing, and documenting test cases, managing defects, and collaborating closely with developers. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of testing experience in Agile environments, is proficient in tools like Selenium, Postman, and SQL, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-demand setting. Strong accountability, teamwork, and a drive for growth—especially into leadership—are key traits for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Execute test cases and ensure proper documentation of test evidence and results
• Perform defect logging, tracking, and management, working closely with developers to resolve issues efficiently
• Conduct API testing and validate data through SQL queries
• Use testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, Browserstack, and Jira to support the testing process

Qualifications

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Software Testing or Information Technology
• National Diploma in Information Technology
• 3–5 years of testing experience in an Agile environment
